Dear Knitter,

This year has certainly proved to be a busy one for me. The publication of ‘Crochet Inspiration’ saw me flying across to the USA to promote my crochet ideas coast to coast. Many knitters are taking up crochet, exploring trims and texture to add to their knitting repertoire. I do urge you to “have a go” - it's really very easy and quite compulsive.

2008 is also looking busy. In January my new knitting book ‘Knitwear by Sasha Kagan’ will be published by Guild of Master Craftsman Publications. This book is a collection of 22 designs previously published in Rowan, Vogue Knitting, Knitting and Woman’s Weekly magazines. Some of the designs have been re-coloured and fine-tuned from the originals, all are very wearable classic pieces. Click here to see a selection of 10 kits available now.

April 26th-27th 2008 sees the third ‘Wonderwool Wales’ festival which I have been helping to organise. I will be giving workshops together with the internationally renowned Prudence Mapstone, scrumble artiste extraordinaire from Australia. From May 3-10th, I will be teaching at a converted monastery in France, together with my good friend Jean Moss. This is a week-long retreat for knitters, where you can indulge your creativity while being looked after in luxurious surroundings with good company, excellent food and beautiful countryside. I will be hosting two Mid-Wales weekend workshop getaways in the summer of 2008 at my local Arts centre - The Minerva Arts Gallery in Llanidloes, Powys. I have managed to procure copies of ‘Country Inspiration’ from a remote warehouse in the USA. This classic book of Country Styles, which I thought was out of print, is now available from my studio.
