NEWSLETTER - Winter 2008 / Spring 2009

Dear Knitters and Crocheters,

Winter is with us again and so the serious knitting and crochet season begins! There is so much pleasure to be had from hand crafting your own winter woollie. My new book Knitwear is packed full of 22 designs to tempt you. To jump start the knitting season for all of my loyal customers, I am offering £10.00 off that can be deducted from any of the kits; this promotion (to help ease you into the winter knitting season) is valid until 31st January 2009.

I was delighted to receive a bronze Ippy award for my ‘Crochet Inspiration’ book that came out last year; this is an award given to independent publishers in the U.S.A. and it is quite an honour to receive it. If you would like a signed copy of the book for your textile collection please click here for a printable order form.

Hurrah!, my blog is now up and running and each month I will keep you posted on knitting events, workshops, exhibitions etc. There is a space for you to leave your comments, and I would love to receive photos of your work-in-progress and finished projects to put up on the blog. At last I can ‘speak’ to you all in a 21st. century way!

Autumn Leaf jacketI have been rushed off my feet with orders for the Woman’s Weekly jacket kit. This is a signature Sasha jacket using Rowan’s felted tweed and the variegated Soya yarn called ‘Tapestry’. This classic autumnal design (pictured right) comes as a kit, price £60. Please click here for more details about the kit, including how to order one for yourself. Hurry while stocks last!!

Look out for the December issue of ‘Knitting’ magazine, as Michelle Matheson has written a lovely 4-page article about me and my design career.

Why not come to Wales between November 15th and December 24th and do your Christmas shopping at the Llanidloes Craft Fair. This is a real showcase of specialist artisan pieces and local crafts from Mid Wales. I will have studio knit samples at bargain sale prices, so save yourself some money and pick up a ready-made piece of knitwear.

Hoping to hear from you and may be meet up at one of the shows, festivals or workshops in 2009. If you are new to my site and would like to receive my newsletter please let me know by either or snailmail at Sasha Kagan Knitwear, The Studio, Y Fron, Llawr-y-Glyn, Newtown, SY17 5RJ.
